The Boys

We made sure to keep the babies in SOL order so it was easier to remember who was who. Towards the end of our session, I was getting really good at being able to tell the boys apart. When I went back for their sales session, I was easily able to pick out Shepherd and Oliver because I had been looking at their pictures so much during editing. They were all so adorable together.

I have never photographed so many feet at one time. Getting them all together was quite the feat. <-- See what I did there! If you will notice, there is one green toe nail. That belongs to Shepherd. Someone recommend on Facebook that they paint one of the toe nails of the boys at the beginning just to make sure nobody was mixed up.

S: Stretch!
L: Get me outta here!
O: Zzzz!

Derek and Megan are both teachers. I guess S, O & L have heard mom and dad tell of the importance of raising your hand to talk.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures from our session. Poor Shepherd is already being pushed around by Lucy. Again, Oliver is just chilling out! We had been working for a long time to get the babies into a specific pose. It simply was.not.working. We finally took our hands off of them, and let them move around a bit. The pictures above and this one are what we got. We all got a huge laugh, and I have never had so much fun watching babies in my life!

When I learned that Derek and Megan were having triplets, my first reaction was pure excitement. Then, my photographer brain kicked in and I texted Megan immediately. I told her I had to do the babies' newborn session. As I began to research online, I came across an image of babies "whispering" to one another similar to this. While I would love to take credit for the idea, I cannot. It did take us a little time to get the babies into position though. Psst... Wanna know a secret? Oliver has a paci in his mouth, but his little hand is covering it up!

Derek and Megan,

I simply had a blast loving on your littles and photographing them during their first few weeks of life. I cannot wait to watch them grow, and see what their personalities will be like. I love how relaxed and chill the boys are. They are so incredibly sweet. I love that Lucy is well, Lucy. One of Derek's posts the other day just cracked me up:

"Happy Two Months Lucy! Things Lucy hates: sneezing, coughing, yawning, hiccups, changes in light, changes in position, changes in temperature, standing up, sitting down, sitting still, moving, being hungry, moving too much, moving too little. Things Lucy loves: Eating."

I pray blessings over your family. That each child will come to love Jesus, and have a servant heart just like their mom and dad.

I love you all so very much!
April
