Fall is absolutely my favorite time for portrait sessions. Shoot, fall is my favorite time of the year period! There is something about the crispness in the air, and the color of the leaves that just make my heart swoon. As an added bonus, having pictures done in the fall, makes Christmas cards that much easier. You don’t have to go scouring your Facebook page to look for a picture that might be decent to send out to your family.
Mini sessions are great. They are quick and painless. I have found men are the most reluctant to want to do family pictures. Tell you hubby, boyfriend, or significant other, he can withstand anything for 15 minutes! Seriously though, I work to make my sessions fun! Most of the men I have worked with, walk away saying that was the easiest photo session they have ever had. I need to record them next time for proof! Take my word for it though. Also, 15 minutes is long enough to get some good shots, but not too long that kiddos are exhausted.
Clothing for mini sessions is something people always ask me about. I recommend having one person in a pattern of sorts. The other family members should pick colors that are within the pattern, but you don’t have to be too matchy-matchy. You should “go” together, but please don’t make your whole family wear matching shirts!
For a mini session, you should expect roughly fifteen-twenty images in your final online gallery. From those images, three will be available at no additional cost for download. You can then use these images for prints, Facebook posts, Christmas cards, etc. The sky is the limit, because the files are yours for keeps. Of course, if you love more than just the three, all of the images are available to be purchased as prints or you may choose to purchase the digital downloads.
Are you worried fifteen minutes won’t be enough, or maybe you are looking for more than 15-20 images. Guess what? I do longer photo shoots. You have much more freedom with these. Click over to my products page to check our your options.
